Diane joined Fabian & Clendenin in 1987. She received her J.D. degree from the University of Utah in 1986 where she was on the Law Review, was a William H. Leary Scholar, and received the best oral argument award in the Traynor Moot Court Competition. She participated on the Board of Trustees for the University Law School, receiving its Young Alumnus of the Year award in 1997. Diane’s practice is focused on real property and commercial transactions throughout the United States, many involving complex financing (including bonds) and multiple parties. She routinely represents developers, lenders, borrowers, buyers or sellers in such transactions. Diane also represents developers in all aspects of the real property development process including negotiation of development agreements, acquisition, financing and improvements. She is also an active mediator and arbitrator.

Diane has been admitted to the Utah State Bar (chair, Real Property Section, 1999-2000; executive committee member, Alternative Dispute Resolution Section) and the U.S. District Court for the District of Utah. She is a member of the Real Estate and Business Law sections of the Utah State Bar and also the American Bar Association. Diane was a member of the Board of Directors at Fabian & Clendenin from 2001-2004, was a member of the Redevelopment Advisory Committee, Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City (1996 to 2005), and a member of the loan committee for that body. For a number of years, Diane was an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Utah’s College of Law teaching Real Estate Document Drafting from 2000-2003, and was a judge and/or coach at the Utah Law-Related Education Project from 1989-1998, coaching the state championship team in the Utah state Mock Trial competition on three separate occassions. She is a panelist for the American Arbitration Association in Arbitration (1996 to present) and in Mediation (1999 to present).
