Mr. Cannon joined Fabian & Clendenin in 1984 and has been a shareholder since 1991. He received his law degree from Duke University School of Law where he was Style Editor for Law & Contemporary Problems. Mr. Cannon’s practice includes representing local and national clients in antitrust and intellectual property matters, including trade secret, trademark and copyright litigation. He has represented clients in antitrust investigations at both the state and federal level and assisted clients in securing antitrust approval for mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Cannon also represents clients in prosecuting trademark and copyright applications. Mr. Cannon also practices and lectures in the area of product liability and complex personal injury. He has successfully represented a number of plaintiffs in multimillion-dollar product liability cases. Mr. Cannon has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution in addition to jury and bench trials.
Mr. Cannon has been admitted to the Utah State Bar (1984), the Idaho State Bar (1994), and to the Us. District Courts for Utah, Idaho and Colorado, as well as the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has been a Judge Pro Tempore for the Third District from 1999 to the present. He was on the Board of Directors of Fabian & Clendenin from 1996-1999 and 2000-2001. He received his Juris Doctor Degree, with Honors, from the Duke University School of Law (1984), where he was a staff member of Law & Contemporary Problems from 1982-1983 and the Style Editor from 1983-1984. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics from the University of Utah in 1981, where he graduated magna cum laude, and was a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Beta Kappa.
