Fabian Law: Michele Mitchell

Ms. Mitchell practices all aspects of employment law. She advises major employers in drafting employment applications and handbooks and in addressing personnel issues from hiring practices and employee morale to benefits and workplace violence. She represents employers in administrative and court challenges under all state and federal employment laws. She also assists employers with mediation and arbitration in addition to serving as a federal court appointed mediator in employment matters.

She is a member of the Labor and Employment and Education Law Sections of the American Bar Association. She is the former chair of the Utah State Bar Labor and Employment Section, and the former chair of the Utah State Bar Education Section. She is a member of the Nevada State Bar Association and is admitted to practice before the United State Supreme Court. She is a member of Women lawyers of Utah, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Council of School Attorneys of the National School Boards Association. She received her Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Brigham Young University (1983), where she was the Lead Note and Comment Editor (1982-1983) and a staff member (1981-1982) on the BYU Law Review, and was a Moot Court finalist. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Germs from Brigham Young University (1969), in the Honor Program and on academic scholarship.
