Medical Malpractice

Mr. Younker works exclusively in the area of plaintiff’s tort law where he represents individuals in medical malpractice and personal injury actions, and in death, brain and spinal cord injury claims. Before joining Fabian & Clendenin in 1988, he worked for seven years representing Intermountain Health Care, Inc. and other defendants in medical malpractice actions. He served as president of the Utah Trial Lawyers Association from 1996 to 1998 and currently serves on its Board of Governors. He has been admitted to the Utah State Bar, the United States District Court for the District of Utah and the United States Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit (1982). He has also been admitted to practice in the United State District Court for the District of Arizona. He was a member of the Utah State Bar Association’s Medical Legal Committee from 1988-1990. He has been a board member of the Salt Lake Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society from 1999 to the present and was a board member of the Brigham Young University Law School Alumni Association from 1991-1993. He has been on the Board of Governors for the Utah Trial Lawyers Association from 1990 to the present. He has been a member of the American Bar Association’s Tort and Insurance Practice Section and the Medicine and Law Committee from 1995 to the present. He was the President of the Utah Trial Lawyers Association from 1996-1998. He was a member of the Division of Professional Licensing Prelitigation Task Force (Utah State Department of Business Regulation) from 1994-1995. Mr. Younker received his Bachelor of Arts in History from Utah State University in 1978, his Juris Doctor Degree from Brigham Young University in 1978, and participated in Postdoctoral Studies in Law in St. Edmund’s House at Cambridge University from 1981-1982.
