David R. Hague

David Hague practices primarily in the areas of bankruptcy law and commercial litigation. He has extensive experience representing secured and unsecured creditors, debtors and debtors-in-possession, and chapter 7 and 11 trustees in complex bankruptcy cases. David also represents clients in the areas of equipment leasing, collection law, and secured transactions.

David graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor for the Kansas Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif.

  • BANKRUPTCY - David has represented various creditors and bankruptcy trustees in a wide range of business-related bankruptcy cases, including bankruptcy reorganization. He was the 2007 recipient of the American Bankruptcy Institute of Excellence Award. During law school, David clerked for the Honorable Janice M. Karlin, U.S. Bankruptcy Court, District of Kansas where he performed extensive research on the impact of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act (BAPCA) of 2005. Prior to attending law school, David worked for a large regional bank where he dealt with various bankruptcy and creditor-related issues.
  • LITIGATION - David has prevailed on summary judgment and other motions involving a wide range of issues. Some of these issues include landlord/tenant disputes, breach of contract claims, foreclosures, and boundary disputes.
