Jess A. Cheney
Jess Cheney is an associate at Fabian with a diverse business background. Having formerly worked as an accountant and with degrees in Law, Economics, Accounting and Business Management, Jess is well equipped to analyze business issues from many angles and come to a resolution. Jess has experience with entity formation, tax planning, statutory interpretation, regulatory compliance, risk analysis, forecasting and other common business concerns.
Jess completed his MBA at Cornell’s Johnson School of Management with a focus in accounting and finance and where he received the James A. Belasco Scholarship. He received the Estate Planning Conference Scholarship at Duke Law School, where he completed his J.D. with a focus on finance and business concerns. Jess also completed an M.A. in Economics at Duke University and a B.S. in Accounting at the University of Utah, which he also attended on scholarship. Prior to completing his advanced education, Jess was an accountant with a health care firm, where he was promoted to Director of Accounting. In this position, Jess oversaw all general ledger maintenance, monthly and annual accounting reports, performed internal audits and assisted to migrate the firm to a new IT platform.
