William H. Adams
Bill Adams has practiced law for over 30 years representing clients in the areas of business planning, tax planning, transactions, and tax controversies. He has represented local, national and multinational clients. Bill has had extensive experience in representing clients involved in sophisticated and complex transactions and in consulting with clients and providing innovative solutions to complex business and tax issues. He has also represented clients in tax controversies with the U.S. tax authorities and state tax agencies and has argued tax cases before the Utah Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

- TRANSACTIONS Represented the sellers in a sale of the largest livestock ranch in Utah. Represented a non-profit seller in the sale of one of the largest medical hospitals in the state of Utah. Represented the buyers in the acquisition of one of the largest phosphate fertilizer manufacturing plants in the western United States. Represented the sellers of a food processing business with food processing plants located in several states. Represented a multi-national company in numerous acquisitions including businesses located in the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and the U.K.
- TAX LITIGATION Bill has handled federal tax controversy matters and trials for clients both in administrative resolution and in trials in the U.S. Tax Court. He has also represented clients in state tax matters before administrative agencies and has tried state tax cases in the Utah courts. He has argued tax cases in the Utah Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. See Elliotts, Inc. v.
