Fabian Law: Scott R. Sabey

Mr. Sabey is a shareholder at the law firm of Fabian & Clendenin, where his main area of practice is real estate development and related litigation. He has been involved in both residential and commercial real estate developments and transactions since 1985. He has been a member of the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Board of Realtors. He has served on committees for the Salt Lake Board of Realtors, authored a monthly legal article for the Board’s publication for numerous years, and had a number of articles published by the Utah Association of Realtors. Mr. Sabey has served on the Executive Committees of both the Real Property and Business Law Sections of the Utah State Bar, and is the Past-Chair of both sections. He is also recipient of the 2005 Distinguished Real Property Practitioner of the Year Award. Mr. Sabey is currently a Bar Commissioner for the Utah State Bar. He is Co-Chair of the Bar’s Governmental Relations Committee, and has served on that committee for over 8 years. Mr. Sabey is a registered lobbyist, and has lobbied on behalf of the Bar, as well as for a number of local and national companies and associations. Mr. Sabey served on a number of committees to reorganize the Judge Pro Tempore system, authored the Judge’s Bench Book for the Small Claims Courts, and teaches the Small Claims Judges school. He received his Juris Doctor Degree from Golden State University School of Law, San Francisco, California, in 1993, and was on the Dean’s Honor List. His Bachelor of Arts Degree is from Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah (1982), and attended the University of Florence, Florence, Italy, receiving a Lauria di Studia della Cultura Italiana in 1981
