Real Property
The members of Fabian’s Real Estate Group practice in varied aspects of the real estate industry. Our transactional lawyers represent purchasers, sellers and developers of commercial, industrial, agricultural, unimproved, mining and residential properties. We represent banks, life insurance companies and other lenders in making traditional loans as well as more complex loan structures and securitized transactions. We also frequently represent borrowers, including borrowers obtaining bond financing or in workout situations. The members of the group collectively have a wealth of experience to assist our clients in getting their deals done.
From the time Harold Fabian assisted in the acquisition of land for Grand Teton National Park through the time George Melling, a now-retired partner, sat on the Salt Lake City Planning Commission in the 1970s, to today with Scott Sabey sitting on the Sandy City Planning Commission, our lawyers have been heavily involved in the real estate community. Because we represent numerous real estate developers, real estate development and zoning continue to be a significant part of our practice. Matters range from obtaining conditional-use permits to the creation of entire planned communities or conversion of properties to residential or commercial condominiums, and the members of the group collectively represent numerous owners’ associations. The representation of landlords and tenants in the leasing of commercial properties is also a significant part of our practice.
Fabian's litigators have successfully litigated all sorts of real estate issues from boundary disputes to quiet title, failed transactions and leasing issues. Take a look at our history for a sampling of the varied matters we have handled through the years.
